Он уже был женат на Сильвии и имел семь детей. Был школьным учителем в небольшом городке Willits рядом с Сан-Франциско.
Принял православие (вместе со своей семьей) 28 сентября 1968 года и взял имя св. князя Владимира, крестителя Руси. Евгений Роуз стал крестным для каждого члена семьи Андерсон.
Помогал содержать книжный магазин православной литиратуры и икон в Сан Франциско, работающий по выходным дням. Для этого приезжал каждые выходные в Сан Франциско на автобусе. Тратил на магазин часть своей зарплаты.
Начиная с 1970 года занимался изданием православной литературы.

Yes, my father reposed yesterday late afternoon, December 16, 2010. The funeral services are being held on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at ST. Seraphim’s Orthodox church (OCA) here in Santa Rosa. Our (OCA) Bishop Benjamin will preside. The antimins were returned to the ROCOR Bishop (we must presume he means current San Francisco ROCOR/MP Archbishop Kyrill-Dmitrieff, THOUGH that antimens was signed by Archbishop Anthony (Medvedev)-who ordained Fr. Vladimir AT Fr. Seraphim Rose's funeral in 1982 at Platina monastery, a priest and who blessed his Willits, California house -chapel , dedicated to St.John the Merciful, Patriarch of Alexandria) since that is where they came from. This was his wish when we discussed these things with him as far back as last year. The (OCA) priests here have been ministering to him since October. He has received the (OCA) holy mysteries of confession and communion more than he has in the past few years. All this was done while he was completely coherent. It is the wish of his wife (Matushka Sylvia) and the rest of the family that no one disturb these arrangements. Thank you all for your fervent prayers. We always told him that you (i.e. people and clergy in our ROCA, under Met. Agafangel and Archbishop Andronik to which Fr. Vladimir belonged since 2007), all were praying for him.
